Auricular Therapy

Auricular Therapy is the stimulation of various points on the ear to relieve various symptoms.  These points can be needled superficially, or stimulated using other tools that do not pierce the skin, such as ear seeds.  These ear seeds are taped on selected ear points and left for a few days, and can be stimulated a few times a day by gently pressing on the seeds.  Since the ears receive innervations from both cervical and cranial nerves, stimulation of different areas and points on the ears can also indirectly affect the physiology of the body.

There are different points on the ears that can be used to treat various symptoms such as insomnia, depression, and even help with weight loss and quitting smoking.

Gua Sha

Gua Sha is a gentle scraping of the skin surface using a special tool to stimulate the flow of Qi and blood and help expel external pathogens such as wind, damp and cold.

Electroacupuncture

Electroacupuncture is the stimulation of Acupuncture points using a safe and gentle electric current.  Electric current is applied to the body through acupuncture needles to further reinforce the release of endorphins.  It can also be used for the treatment of pain by stimulating trigger points on the body (also known as "Ashi points" in TCM).
